Simply put, the Power Plate® is a machine which vibrates. The effect of the vibration increases the response of the muscle being worked; this means that you achieve the same result far more quickly than if you were to do the exercises on a non-vibrating surface.


During a BodySmart training session, you are in contact with the Power Plate® at all times (standing, sitting, leaning on your hands or arms). The Power Plate® settings can be adjusted (by the instructor) to match the training level of each individual, meaning everyone gets a workout that is appropriate to their needs.
