(H2O Body System®) Study from France

The Primary Objective of this study: evaluate the slimming effect of the SpaCapsule® (H2O Body System®) with 20 subjects (female) participating full time in the study.

The Secondary Objectives of this study:

evaluate the device effectiveness on cellulite reduction
evaluate the device effectiveness on skin biomechanical properties
evaluate the device effectiveness on improving the density of the skin
evaluate subject appreciation of the SpaCapsule effectiveness and its future use

Conditions for study participation:

compliance with protocol
participation in measurements
no participation in diets, exercise, or changes in daily living activities

The preliminary report after 20 sessions showed the following results:

Slimming Effect:

Significant weight loss was recorded and measured in 87% of subjects
Significant decrease of the hips perimeter; a slimming effect on the hips in 73% of subjects was recorded
Significant decrease of the stomach perimeter; a slimming effect on the stomach in 67% of subjects was recorded
Significant decrease in the thighs perimeter; a slimming effect on the thighs was • measured in 73% of subjects

An improvement in the skin elasticity was measured in 80% of subjects and 94% of subjects observed an improvement in the aspect and texture of their skin
The SpaCapsule effectiveness on cellulite reduction showed: a significant fat-node decrease, a re-densifying effect on the dermis and improvement of the skin’s firmness and tonicity; the firming effect was measured in 93% of subjects
Subjects showed overall satisfaction of the SpaCapsule system for future use
Subjects demonstrated overall appreciation for the SpaCapsule system procedures
80% of the subjects said that they would return and recommend it to friends
0% of the subjects reported pain, anxiety or stress

What is cellulite?

Cellulite is the dimpling of skin caused by enlarged fatty cells underneath the surface. It appears in both men and women, but more commonly in women because of their greater levels of body fat. Although its causes are not fully understood, hormones, genetics, diet and lifestyle are all considered contributory factors.

Some of these factors are out of our control (we can’t choose our parents) but there are others we can do something about. While studies so far have not found any treatment which definitively removes cellulite, there is evidence to suggest that the appearance of cellulite can be reduced, particularly through good dietary habits and exercise.
